[01b] Mempool → chain What's this? When you send bitcoin, your transaction first waits in the mempool, a public queue of unconfirmed transactions. About every 10 minutes a miner packs the highest-paying ones into a block and adds it to the chain. Left of NOW: the next blocks as they would be built right now, with the fee rate (sat/vB) needed to get in. Pay at least a block's lowest fee to land in it.
